Finally Jose Mourinho Offered Deal By Spanish Club!

After being without a job for almost
four months, The Special One, Jose
Mourinho has finally been offered a
new deal by La Liga club, Valencia.

According to reports in The Sun UK on
Thursday morning, Valencia, which
sacked its embattled British manager,
Gary Neville, on Wednesday has urged
Mourinho to “Forget Manchester
United – join us now”.

Gary Neville was sacked by the La
Liga club after only four months in
charge with No2 Pako Ayestaran
announced as his interim
replacement.

But The Sun reports that
serious discussions have been ongoing
for more than a month about
Mourinho becoming the master of the
Mestalla.

Although he prefers a move to Old
Trafford, should they sack Louis van
Gaal, Mourinho has yet to receive a
written offer from Manchester United,
having agreed only to a pre-contract
that ties his future to the club for a
certain amount of financial gain
should he eventually not be hired.

The English tabloid reports that
United have held a number of
meetings with Mourinho’s agent Jorge
Mendes and outlined possible terms
which could reach £20million a year
with bonuses but continue to dither.

Mendes, however, is one of Valencia
owner, Peter Lim’s closest football
advisors and The Sun claims that an
agreement has been reached on a
deal.

According to the tabloid, “back in
December Valencia wanted Mourinho
this summer and serious talks took
place in February when Jose and his
agent were guests of Lim in his native
Singapore.

The billionaire is prepared
to pay Mourinho around £15m-a-year
with a £100m transfer kitty.”

Lim, it says, is a friend and business
partner of Neville but decided to wield
the axe after he lost eight of his 16 La
Liga games.
Neville said: “I understand we are in
a results business.

“In the 28 games they have not been
to my standards or to those which are
required by this club.”
