Injured Arsenal stars and their expected return dates

Arsene Wenger’s squad has almost a clean bill of health as we head towards the busy festive period – something we aren’t usually accustomed to at this time of year.

The only player definitely ruled out injured is long-term absentee Santi Cazorla as the Gunners head to the north west to take on Burnley in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

There is a small doubt over the fitness of Danny Welbeck, who is still working his way back to full fitness from a hamstring injury and Arsene Wenger not willing to take too many risks with the frontman.

Welbeck got 45 minutes under his belt during the 1-0 Europa League defeat to FC Koln on Thursday.

Theo Walcott was ruled out of that trip, having missed the victory over Spurs the weekend before as well, due to illness and he has not recovered in time to make the trip up to Turf Moor either.

Here is a run down of the current injury issues at Arsenal and when any absent players are due back in action.

Danny Welbeck

What Wenger said: “The last time he came back from injury, we played him at Watford and after an hour he got a bad hamstring.
